Fissure #4
What would happen if you got together 19 odd poets, some with drawing capabilities no doubt, in a room say, for a day, all from different pockets of the known universe?
What if they had been chosen to display their talents one by one (although not in a row) no one speaking OVER anyone else?
A marvellous question.
I am lead to believe that if this were to happen, say, that there would be multiple prophecies unannounced, much laughter, joy, and the occasional erupting of chaos.
One magazine has endeavoured to discover the outcome of such a feat, although the wordsmiths are ungathered physically. Delicately spaced within the pages of the latest issue of Fissure (SAP) are 19 odd poets and some artists.
Now. Imagine the coming together of 19 scientists, carefully selected, each from different pockets of the globe. Can you imagine the discussions? The discourse. The comparisons of notes.
Of lifetimes studying?
This issue #4 of Fissureis like the bullying of goodness. A relentless assault of wordplay and genius, the striking of precise greatness. An awaited ambush of poetry.

I am inclined to think that if you take, say, the corresponding words to a sacred geometric formation, that being 4, 7, 16, 21, 36 for example...if you go through this issue and extract the words I've mentioned you will in fact find yourself reading, once they had been gathered and arranged in some sensible order, the meaning of life.
I suppose you might find yourself reading the exact key words you must remember in order to stop the next 9/11 type event from taking place.
Do you think that if 19 park rangers gathered to discuss how to stop litter in parks, they would come close to the goal of stopping litter in parks? I think they would.
Wonder folks.

"Thank you for the recent issue of Fissure. I like the cover and the work is quirky, interesting. I especially liked your poems and those by Justin Blackburn, AJ Kaufmann and Keith Flynn. I also want to thank you for taking the trouble to review my book." -- Rob Cook, New York
"My God the new issue of Fissure is awesome! The Cover art by Shaggy Randal is out of this world, so surreal with strong colors that grabs your attention. I loved the teaser of Dark Verona the art is awesome and the Noir aspects are very crow-esque with a very Scotty T flavor. And not to mention World Reknown author and all around bad boy of publishing Nick Tosches, what an honor to see him gracing the pages of this underground mag.
Looks great Fissure keep up the kick ass work!" --Brian K. Ladd, South Carolina, USA
