Justin Blackburn, (Greenville, SC) began laughing at himself around the age of six and has not looked back. In collaboration with Kenny Norsworthy, Blackburn created a controversial stir with the US Government with their novel Gifted Disabilties, (2005). Justin and Norsworthy's book of poetry It's Hard To Get There When You Are Already There was published by Brian Hanand his first solo collection of poetry, Farting Fire(2009) was published by Virgogray Press. Blackburn is involved in both the performance poetry and music scenes and formed the band, Super Baby Star with Norsworthy and Noel Thrasher.
Blackburn was named upstate poet of the year with Beat Magazine and his poetry has been published internationally in Open Minds Quarterly, Left Behind, Current Accounts, Speed Poets, Lake Of Fire, Angel Voices, etc. Currently Justin Blackburn is aware he is creating his own reality, rereading his bio, smiling at himself from his heart, laughing at himself from his spleen, drinking hot tea, listening to "The Cold Part" by Modest Mouse on Pandora Radio, watching moths fly by the window, wondering why she spent the whole night in love with him two days ago but now won't talk to him on Facebook and why his past life wife does not want to marry him or call him back. Justin Blackburn's intent is to inspire thought-provoking joy, show every living being inner peace, and be honest with himself which is you.
